How to Print Classroom Barcode Sheets in Follett Destiny
Purpose: These sheets contain barcodes for each student in a class and are used to check books in and out by scanning student barcodes. They will be printed on paper and stored in a 3-ring binder.
Prerequisites:
- You must be logged in as a Librarian in Follett Destiny.
- You need to know the teacher name, homeroom, or grade level.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Log in to Destiny
- Go to https://norridge80.follettdestiny.com
- Select your school from the list.
- Log in using a Librarian account.
- Go to the Back Office area.
- Open the Reports Tab
- Click the "Reports" tab at the top of the screen.
- Under Reports, choose "Patron Reports".
- Click "Barcode Labels".
- Go to Barcode Labels
- To print one class/homeroom:
- "Select by" to ROOM NUMBER.
- Set "From" (left field) actual room number, (right field) set to same room number if only running one room.
- Set "Sorted by" to PATRON NAME.
- Set "...with these statuses" to ACTIVE only
- Include BARCODE NUMBER checkbox should be checked.
- Click the "Use at circulation desk" radiobutton so that it is filled.
- Click the Run Report button.
- Wait for the report to process. When it’s ready, click View to open the barcode PDF.
- To print a range of classes/homerooms:
- "Select by" to GRADE (not GRADE LEVEL).
- Set "From" (left field) actual grade level, (right field) set to same grade level if only running one grade.
- Set "Sorted by" to GRADE LEVEL and ROOM NUMBER.
- Set "...with these statuses" to ACTIVE only
- Include BARCODE NUMBER checkbox should be checked.
- Click the "Use at circulation desk" radiobutton so that it is filled. Check the "START A NEW PAGE FOR EACH GROUP" checkbox.
- Click the Run Report button.
- Wait for the report to process. When it’s ready, click View to open the barcode PDF.
- Print and Store
- Print the sheet on standard letter paper (8.5 x 11").
- Place the printed page in a 3-ring binder organized by classroom or grade.
